There are two scheduled shredding events this year:

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Westmont Police-Fire Facility, 500 N. Cass Avenue, Westmont, IL.

These events are designed to be convenient and efficient for residents. The drive-up and drop-off format means you can stay in your car while volunteers collect your boxes for shredding.

How It Works

Participants are asked to bring boxes or containers of paper to be shredded. A suggested donation of $10 per box or container is requested, with all proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.

Before bringing your documents, make sure to remove any plastic and metal items, such as staples and paper clips, to ensure a smooth shredding process.

Once collected, the documents are shredded offsite by Cutting Edge Document Destruction, Inc., a HIPAA-compliant and AAA-certified company. Westmont Police Department personnel oversee the process to ensure secure handling.
